For English and History, we researched conflicts that involved Native Americans today and analyzed articles from different perspectives about the issues. This project fits within the pillar of “Investigate the World” because I learned about Native Americans through research, and because many of the issues were contemporary, I read about history as it was being made. Furthermore, this project supported the concept of this pillar because we looked at multiple viewpoints on the same issue, which showed that there is not just one side to every story. This source addresses my overarching question in that it gives examples of conflicts that Native Americans face because of colonization, many of which might impact self image.
