In English we wrote an essay analyzing how effective the rhetoric of George Wallace’s “segregation forever” speech was. This essay fits within the pillar of “Communicate Ideas” because the point of the assignment was to analyze how Wallace’s ideas were communicated. Furthermore, this essay supported the concept of this pillar in that it gave me practice in communicating my own ideas, because I had to construct my own argument about my analysis. This source addresses my overarching question in that it helped me practice putting aside my own beliefs to objectively look at a scenario.
